View Full Version : my AIR FOOLER 250R(((fresh pics!)))(((short video!)))
well here is my air fooler, many have forgot that I evan had one.. its coming back together now.. few missing parts that I have to find/buy, the tires on it now are just to roll it around, I was hoping to get it running this friday but that dosnt seem the case.... maybe next week sometime hopefully
this used to have a hondaline 300 big bore kit, it blew up after some serious thrashing for about a year on it, then almost fixed we found some serious cracks in the sleeve, so the project was dumped in favor of a 250r top end in the mean time untill I decide to resleeve my 300 kit other than that is had a rare jemco sectional pipe on it done in ceramic coat anda few other nick nacks but nothing major. all new plastic an updated front end and a bunch of powdercoated parts by fellow triker dreadhed
enjoy I will update pics as it comes together and starts running.

It really looks nice but I just don't get why you repaint everything real nice, have a REALLY nice pipe, then don't bother to detail that ?
That gets a negative from me, take it back off and do it right.
The gold up front seems out of place on it, now that everything is silver, going to keep it that way ?
The forks look crappy too, are they leaking ?

What are you doing up, I can't sleep either.
Naaah  , I'm just simply saying what I see, the pipe is so beautiful man, so why not detail it a 100% .
I just don't get when you (a lot of members) "completely" restore a trike then put parts on that don't match the detail of the rest of the machine, just doesn't look good.

syko...why are your forks are on backwards?
black hubs would look good on that machine.
its just going together right this min, I setail my machines to the max when I get them together yea the forks are on backwards right this min but its no big deal, its all just temporary, the pipe is mainly dirty from siting on a shelf for almost a year as is the rest of the parts, the rear hubs are temp as I just needed something to roll it around with, and the front hub is going PC chrome, and the handle bars are going as well

Like said, just expressing what I saw, you would not rather paint all the hubs blue like the frame :wondering
I thought about that, but that damn chrome PC looks so damn nice on hubs I m going to go that direction with it.

Sure it will look great on hubs but you have no contrast against the wheels then?
I think your overdoing it with silver .
The heat shield would look good in a satin black or frame color for a bit more contrast, you don't think so ?
I can only imagine how that would look with red hubs, fork boots and exhaust system, YES, the whole exhaust in red and a few other parts here and there.
Some may laugh at a RED exhaust, go ahead and laugh, I think it would look stunning but the exhaust would need help with other red parts through out the scheme because it would be just blasting out red in one area, would not look right.
Not that your trike doesn't look mighty fine now, I'd do it different though concerning contrasting parts.

Looks great syko, but I do agree with the huffinator on the exhaust shield (a blue that matches the frame would look great).

got a coil coming for it and applied the new decals today, will post pics later, this weekend I will get the forks back were they should be put all the front/rear brakes on and do a few more things then just wait till I get the coil to get this beast moving again.

How did you get the engine finish that way? Paint???
Anyway - Looks great - sweet Air R
the engine finish is just engine enamel, the difference is that I clean the engine and sand it before applying the paint, Ive done a few engiens with it and it holds up great over a long period of time, and as for polishing, I may still do it, but im unsure yet, and as for riding it hard, I ride all my machines no matter how nice they are, but this one will only get ridden a little bit as its allready sold.

Looks great Syko. Who is the lucky new owner?
finaly took ol girl out for a spin....reall snapy powerband, decent bottom, crazy midrange that pulls to the top, since this is a 250 now instead of a 300 I can tell it revs way faster then before. The down side to all this, top end speed, it could use a 1 tooth up front or 2 tooth down rear to pick it up better, it was nice to wick a 2 stroke trike sideways again! If my neighbor kid come by I will get him to take a vid of me riding it
