I hit the ice today on my 250R. Just got done earlier in the week putting screws in.
It hooked up nice, once I got the track cleaned off. It felt pretty good being on the ice with it again after 10 plus years.:naughty:
I was running in 3rd gear, and 4th. 3rd felt a bit short, but in 4th, I just slipped the clutch a little, and kept it in 4th, and it seemed about right for the track.
Since I put the screws in, I need to air the tires, as they lose air, but not too fast, I don't think.
Is there a sealant to use that may help?

Tubes. Next time, grind the tips off the screws (if youre using sheet metal screws)

Its probably freezing up and losing power, last time I did that it ws -10F (avitar picture) and the engine never got warm to a bare hand.

B-I-G fun. Wick it sideways in snow and everything disappears.

Yup...if you pitch it, snow will fly:D
I jetted it around 12 degrees, and it was about 15 today. I might need to fatten up the midrange a little, but otherwise good.
The track is short, and basically one big left-hander, so being in 3rd was short, but 4th was a bit tall.It was kinda difficult to shift, so I just had to slip the clutch a little when I slowed down, but once the track was faster, she hauled.
I'm already at 14/36 gearing with the 18" Trekkers, so I can't go much taller with the gearing, I don't think.
I'm running ColdCutters in the tires, 1200 of 'em.
As far as the leak, I didn't check, but it may just need air like every other day or something.
I may try some Slime in the tires, and see what that does.
