Hi and welcome.
I think in a previous life it was a Honda Atc 70 (70cc, not 1970!).
Not a clue what the front forks are from, maybe home made. The rear fenders look suspiciously like mine, no idea who made them, they fit the 70, but they're not Honda!
From the pic the chassis/engine is a 70.
You do realise of course that now you have one, you're hooked!
Rob.

This fork is custom. Look like the last owner wanted to had some Kawasaki KLT 250 flavor to his honda...

Looks like at one time that thing was a little show bike. Agree with the other poster.... looks like a "klt-ish" frontend, don't think its an actual kawasaki frontend though, looks too small. After-market from back in the day maybe? Looks cool on there, heavy-duty. :beer

I think it might be an ATC90, looks a little big to be a 70, I could be wrong though.
Either way, looks pretty damn cool!

I totaly dig the front forks, never seen that set up before.

I like them too, they sure do look to be a professionally made aftermarket piece.
They sure do affect the wheelbase though!! I'll bet she runs nice in a straight line but doesn't turn too well!!

Welcome, :welcome: you have come to the information area, lol.
That an ATC 90 with aftermarket forks and a custom paint job. Of course I want to see more pics ASAP!!!!
Vealmonkey is the the guy that will pop in here and tell you exactly what type of forks they are and a buch off other forgoteen ATC90 modification stuff.:naughty: Post some more pics of it and the rear of the frame, carb area, etc. We will figure it out. No Problem!!! I will PM him and tell him to check out this thread.

Are you selling it? If you are I want first dibs!!! Well just by the only picture you have listed, it is an atc90. Looks like aftermarket frame, but I would need a couple pictures. I can tell you this, I have been looking for those front forks for awhile. They are called "rutt riders". I believe they are the real first aftermarket suspension front ends for the atc90s'. The are like the kawasaki front ends, and possibly kawasaki copied them (I'm sure that will open up a debate in itself). The engine will have a serial number on it that will tell the year, get the serial number and we can tell you the year engine. I doubt it's a us90 because it has the later footpegs, but it would probably be 1974-1978 by the fenders and the footpegs. A great find. And like I said if you don't want it, I would give it a good home. Some more pictures of the other side of the engine and without the rear fenders on will help alot to identify it. I can say the rear sprocket is aftermarket too. I look forward to you posting more pictures. I really dig on the older trikes and you have found yourself a neat one. Welcome to the boards. We hope to see alot more of you and your trike. And I hope you realize once you have one trike, you will want more. And you can still get the majority of the parts that will help get your trike running and keep it running. More pics please.

I for one am impressed with your ATC type wisdom Vealmonkey. I bow before your greatness sir. And yes... we need more pics, especially of the frame. Any chance this is rear suspended? :beer

It doesn't look rear suspended from the picture. If you've seen a suspended 90, you can tell right away. I hope that doesn't sound conceited, just that suspension 90\110 frames "sit" way different than hardtail frames. I would like to see other pictures to see what other goodies it has on it. I've never seen anyone post a picture of a 90 with knock-off hubs or an aftermarket rear disc. And I've seen a fair share of 90s. I've bought a couple just to get one part off them too and resold them right after. Many people added some crazy parts just becuse the part at the dealership was a couple bucks more. It would be cool to see a trike that had all the aftermarket goodies. About the only big things I never knew to be reproduced aftermarket wise were the cases and the heads and the heads I'm not even sure of. Some internal parts too, but alot of internals were reproduced aftermarket wise and still pop up new.

Wow, I like what I'm seeing. First of all, aftermarket rear disc Brake!!! Supertrapp exhaust. Might even be aftermarket rear axle, but hard to tell at this angle, but I'm not seeing the axle taper off so I'm saying likely aftermarket. Extended vented dipstick. Aftermarket chain tensioner, I don't think cancilla. maybe a Pauter frame, but would have to see picture with the tank off and a bad side shot at the rear axle area to tell for sure. And I'm not quite sure what is going on with the head. I would really take lots of pics of the paint scheme and do some tracings too, cause I would want to redo the paint scheme just the way it is. That is one really trick period piece you have there. That is quite a time machine, real 1981 or so you have there. I would have to see some closer pics of the engine especially around the cylinder head area. You might have a really trick piece there. I wish I could find something like that. You might have an aftermarket cylinder and I'm not sure about the head. Not sure if it has an oil cooler, can't be a double plug, not recognizable in the picutes that came out for me. I'm going to reply this and reload and see if the other pictures come out. What a great find and it keeps getting better the more I see. More treats with each picture. I know you're not getting rid of this, right? If you do, we'll talk.

It's definitely a pauter frame. Looks like a Johnsons' disc brake kit, brake rod activated. Oil Cooler. Non stock carb but looks like a stock, maybe bored out intake. Honda cylinder and head. Piston size unknown, cam unknown.
Just from the paint job and the accessories, that trike was someones pride and joy and I'm sure it was well know wherever they hung out at. Probably had it's picture in a magazine. When that trike was fresh, it was truly something to behold. Polished aluminum and shiney paint and all. Please do that trike justice and restore it just the way it is. If you wanted to go bigger and better on the engine, by all means. But please preserve the paint scheme. If you want to change the paint, sell the tank and fenders to me at least. I would love to have them restored just the way they are. If you change the paint, you are doing that trike a disservice. Have fun and bring it back the way it was.

this thing kicks major butt, does it run?

A 110 carb wouldn't work with a bore and stroke. It wouldn't run well. And that carb has a round fuel bowl, not a stock 110 carb. And if you look at the intake, it tapers slightly where the carb flange is, atc90 intake. They can be drilled out larger, but it was hard to blend the passages because of the depth of the intake. That may not be the engine that was in the trike when it was in it's heyday. The engine appears rather stock, but I may be wrong. I would like to see the piston and the cam. Maybe big bore, 110 or 124 with the cooler, but I doubt a stroker.

i agree about the carb
a 110 carb is fine on a stockish 90 but not a built up one
on my 110 i had to go to a 24mm stock 200x carb and jet it up to get it to run right....and its still 110cc's
Maybe the carb has been opened up:D

ya it runs, just wont idle. It sat in my buddys back yard for 2 years so i was suprised that it started up so easy.

that was my plan, I work in a body shop painting cars so the paint will go back to the way it was.
