Registering my new sx!!

The previous owner had the police run the VIN and registered it that way. The only problem is he did not renew it since 2006. Think there will be any issues when I try regitering it?

Gota bill of sale with his name on it?? If so no problems at all.

I have the registration and a recipt. It still has the plate on it. Should I take it with me when I go to the DMV and hand it in?

Bring it with you, but thats the other owners registration. You need a bill of sale and you'll probably have to pay sales tax on it and the cost of the registration. My reg office does not accept cash, only checks or m.o. just so you know....
