Thanks for the posting of the awesome site. They are very fair on the pricing, now I don't have to depend on Bike Bandit so much!

I agree... I knew the 87 x would be low... but figured the 86 200x numbers would be way higher, makes me want to hold onto mine even tighter, lol. The 350x # is surprising to me.... over 25K, figured that would be much lower....... but one thing is for sure... we won't run out of 84 or 85 Big Reds anytime soon. :beer

Thats only about 40,000 liquid R's. Thats not that many when you think about about how many people there are in the U.S. In 1980 alone, Honda produced twice as many 110's as there were liquid R's ever made. Split that number in half for 20,000 and thats probably about how many surviving one there actually are left.
Happy to see I own the rarest 110 there is.

i have seen the production number on this site before. dont know what it was but it was something real low. 669 pops in my head for some reason. maybe someone else will chime in.?
kinda strange how the parts sites dont list the 88 big red huh?
i have expected the production numbers to be a lot higher, especially for the sport trikes. 1/2 of the bikes are now soup cans or washing machines.:(

I did too. So, there were more 85 Red's than all R's combined?! That's cool.

I've been saying for years - "there are a ton of 84 Big Reds around here - wonder how many they made?" Seems like I see so many of those buggers - they are just everywhere. Every where I look, every old barn or shed seems to have one in it. These numbers really suprised me. At Brapp's ride, Jason and I were talking about production numbers (while looking at an old 84 Big Red). I sure was wrong on the numbers - I thought Honda made like 200,000 85Rs and 300,000 86 Rs. These numbers are neat to think about. Makes me wonder how many R's total are out there and still ridable - prolly more than I would imagine.

i would think except for the low number bikes that the most that are still around is 1/2.
there are tons of old 250r's and 200x's parted out every year...or just plain destroyed
but who knows

How many 200s Hondas were made in 1986?
Unfortunately, we will never know the answer to that. But I can tell you for certain it's A WHOLE LOT LESS than '84 / '85.
Most years at Ashtabula we see 20-30 ATC200S's. Mostly there is only one single 86 in the whole place.
Same story at TrikeFest. 1986's are outnumbered 30:1? Maybe 40:1? Maybe 50:1......
I know of only a few and I am going to start looking at VIN numbers and find out the highest number. Then we can at least know a minimum. We will never know the max.
