Heres some more pictures. The interrior really isn't really bad. Need to get my seat recovered, and some floormats, and weather stripping that i need for the doors and windows. Dash pad wouldn't be a bad thing either.
Nice! What size engine is that you got in there?

That would be a 460 from a 69 Lincoln. Early D0VE block that has high compression heads (Best ones you can get unless you go to Aluminum.) It has a Holley 750cfm carb on it. Engine will definetly come out and the compartment will be cleaned up and painted (Along with the engine) Hopefully sometime get headers and stainless steel braided fuel lines and what not also.
edit: I forgot to mention that the engine puts out fairly close to 400hp (In the 375-380 neighborhood with 500ft lbs of torque)
Wow that's one hell of a motor, I gotta get me one!!!! Put in my Ford, thing rull like hell seeing as how they're so light!

Yeah its an awesome engine for power but it sucks though the gas in a mighty big way. Put 5 gallons in it from a can, you spin around a few minutes in the feild and your empty :P
So figure about 2 gallons to the mile, eh? lol

I love the 460 engine as well as the 7.3 TD and the new 6.0 TD
I the next few years I will be looking for a mid 70's to early '90's F-350 with the 460 or 7.3 in it.
It looks like you got your work cut out for you so I wish you good luck and good times in her ;)

I'm too lazy to take pictures of my wounded bomber (many parts broken in the short time I drove it...The ford begged for forgiveness with less then half the pounding I gave to my chevy). I'll try to get a few after work, but this is what it is anyway...
87 F-250e 2wd reg cab longbox with custom driveshaft (for those who know the story, I won't bother mentioning the many other parts in dire condition)
4 speed, borg warner
33 inch A/T's of some sort, I belive it may be a house brand cooper
302 (it needs a 460 or something to get out of its own way)
Dana 60 w/ 4.11's and posi...best part of the truck
Anyway, it runs good but just broke way too many parts. I dont want to start a war here, but out of all the fords, and all the gm's we have had, all the fords seemed to not be built for as much abuse. The ford is obviously a work truck, but my halfton chevy could honestly outdo it in most situations before i "modified" the roof (another good story). The ford has far more load capacity and pulls much better, other then the motor being pretty anemic (the chevy has a 4.3 which isnt no hotrod by any standards but it pulled a 6k trailer with no real problems, and I pounded the living hell out of it for the past 5 years right up to the day I rolled it).
I'm getting the 250r running next week, then probably buying my chevy cab. Right now I am looking at 98 and newer Ls1 z/28's ;) , so money will be real tight after that for a few years i would imagine..but eventually I would like to retrofit a dana 50 or 60 in the front and put some 38's on the ford. I'll even keep the TTB, its not going to be a jumping truck (learned my lesson on the chevy, never broke it even after getting 5 foot of air repeatedly but even fully rigged baja frontends can take a pounding doing that stuff)..just mud and snowplowing. If this happens, I wonder what motor I want to use. I don't like big cubes as much (smallblock guy), especially with fuel prices, So i think the 390 would be the perfect engine. A windsor would probably do just as well, maybe even better on the highway when we are towing. What do you guys think? I don't know the ford stuff as good...wrenching is my forte and I can do it on any car, but I only like memorizing vehicles I either really like or own ;)

 Hell...my Foreman pulled a 7K truck uphill on gravel with no real problems...
Oh and BTW...my dads *cough*Chevy*cough* died on him this morning. The company already put $5k into the engine alone to keep it running and its only a '98 ( :D )

The company is stupid. There was a problem with some of the '98 model vortec 350's that the service shop should be well aware of. You can get a brand new vortec engine for less then 5k, either the place you guys are fielding your service out to are a bunch of clowns, or the guys doing the check writing are too stupid to realize they could fix it right for far less time money and hassle.
I would like to see your foreman pull a 7k truck uphill doing 80. My ford barely even does that unloaded, and it is a average everyday 302 (yes, it is in tune and great condition, couldnt ask for much of a better running engine). Torque will move a load, no doubt there. My ford will tow a house, but its not going anywhere fast. Just because it "can" do something doesnt mean it will do a good job at it. I'm not trying to bash fords, jesus....Every topic in here about brands always equals out to "well this is better because this truck broke!!!!" okay, lets straighten this out RIGHT now...
EVERY VEHICLE THAT IS GETTING USED REGULARLY WILL HAVE PROBLEMS UNLESS PROPERLY MAINTAINED (given that the initial build did not have any major defect, which is common in all brands). QUALITY CONTROL ON A 30,000 DOLLAR VEHICLE IS GOING TO BE FAR LESS THEN A 200,000$ VEHICLE. If every vehicle was made to last a million or so miles, then the cost would reflect it.
Personal experience is personal experience, but don't make yourself look like a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro saying things like "this major brand (gm, ford, mopar, etc) sucks becuase such and such broke this and that". If these vehicles were truly bad, then the companies would not have lasted as long as they have. Take companies like yugo and daewoo...they had absolutely horrid quality, and they are now gone. Every manufacturer making a product for the masses is going to let some slip through that are screwed up. Without these cars, everything would last forever. In the auto industry this is not a wanted thing. Turnovers are needed. All the companies do it, in just about every kind of business you think of.
A truck that is a '98 and has problems....what do you expect? Does not matter which brand. Ford mopar and gm have been letting them go with more then enough blowing up parts for years, always have and always will. Its just a fact of life. Everyone has their preferance, but why bash other brands which are equal? I'v seen fords (and several other major brands) that are brand new fly apart within 10,000 miles. Also, think about this....its a company truck...do you know company vehicle rules?
1. Never follow any sort of proper breakin procedure
2. Company cars stop on a dime and accelerate far faster then personal cars, loaded or unloaded.
3. Company cars never need maintenance, run them into the ground and bring it to the motorpool at the end of the day.
