View Full Version : my 83 250R's new owner!
well new member (hasnt posted yet) iamschme and THE GOAT arrived after their long journey to south GA to pick up my 1983 250R, hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have. They picked it up with alot of extra parts for it as well, me and the goat did some trading of our own so some of the rest of my atc 70 parts were relieved of my possesion, aslo there is a pic of the goat showing us easterners how the midwesterns move 70s around! rolling something on its tires is for chumps! lol!! have a safe trip guys!!

Why did you sell this one? I understand the 350X but this came out really sweet looking....

He's already regretting it trust me :-P
well.... its a long story, but after a mishap with the 350X selling early on, I offerd my air R up for sale. but then everything went well with the X, so then as I was finishing up the R I was contacted again, and a deal was struck. I really didnt want to sell it as it was nice and its a blast to ride on, but I crave more! my current project was going to take forever, and selling the R would negate me the neccessary funds to get the ball rolling big time. I know it will be well taken care of, but never fear there is a air R in FL right now that I need to pick up, it will be getting a makeover as soon as it hits my shop, so stay tuned for a new episode!
but what really sucks right now? is that I have nothing to ride! I have only 1 trike and thats my flat tracker and its still apart, as it dosnt really matter as we dont have anywhere to run right yet eeerrrrr...... and the blaster is down becouse it needs a new carb
so now it will be some time before I trully ride again, or at least untill my new project is done with...

Yeah syko, sory bout not posting yet but i need to do some updating on my acct. anyway, the trip was good. when i got home i unloaded and headed up the road. it was all darkness until i came back through, every house had turned on their lights to see what the hell was goin on. it was awesome. i got the fork seals changed, the front tire, and the petcock. all went smoothly until the rear brakes. i got the kit in but it doesn't appear to be pumping out the fluid??? i guess i did something wrong... not sure, i'll have to pull it back down and check it out. any ideas???
but yeah she's a screamer. every gear pulls real hard. you were right though, a tooth or two would help out, especially since i ride a lot of open area, not too many tight spaces. and....the light works. i think i'm gonna develop a nickname as the blue fool. three people referred to me as that. due to the blue bike, a little blue smoke, and i drive like a fool...

well I got home, passed out for a few hours, then woke up and drove 100 miles for mardi gras...so I'm still recovering a bit. lol.
that bike is nice...now I just have to get that 350x up and running...cause saying he pulls away from me on that 200x is an understatement. Gotta get the green one together....green and white and blue and white. these slow people won't know whats up when not one but two racing trikes that look new roll on by.
she's got a good home syko...we're beginning to develop a fleet of em.
yeah, that 70 was heavier than it looked. solid little piece.
