I was at the Honda shop and picked up some Spectro. Couple hours later i was at a ATV shop and seen Benol. I'll turn to you guys for advice. I'm leaning towards the Benol.

They're both really nice. I like the smell of BeNol, but that's personal choice.
Dammit!

Never used Klotz Benol before but I've been using a Klotz product in my R for... 19 years. Wow.
Anyway, I used R-50 for most of that time and switched to Super Techniplate 3 years ago. The R is only on it's second top end so I say the stuff works. :D

I cant find Super Techniplate except for 4 stroke engine oil. So i've been using the Benol too. I haven't had a 2-stroke long so i cant say either way, but ive heard nothing but good things about Klotz.

If I had to give the edge to either.... I guess it would be Klotz. Ran this stuff exclusively in my MX days..... RM125 at 50:1.... never a top end problem Whenever I would pull the head everything was clean as could be. Great stuff..... :beer

Here is some technical info on the Benol Castor oil. I'm not saying its better or worse than Golden Spectro, I just thought you might find this useful.

I have always used golden spectro in my R's. we run it 52:1 and my bikes are always clean when we tear them down. Unlike the bike we baught my sister, her 83R had been run on Yamalube and had 1/4" of carbon in the combustion chamber:eek: and that was a decently fresh rebuild

True story there! It will separate from the fuel under those cold conditions. I used to run Blenzall, until a cold weather squeak. No more Castor for me. Now I run Motul's 800 Ester.

when I was running Klotz at 50:1 it was not the syn/caster blend..... it was fully synthetic, and being all syn there was no problems with colder climate riding. (used it with the snowmobiles too) another benefit is that it smells so good, nobody will want to pass you, lol. check it out, R-50--------> http://www.klotzlube.com/storeProdDetails.asp?pi=19

I don't think either oil will have very different results...
I ran Golden Spectro in every 2 stroke I ever owned until the guy gave me a huge bottle of Bel-Ray. Then I got into 4 strokes. But, I never had any trouble with GS.
