Does anyone here ever jump their 1st gen Tecate? I am looking to set my forks up for some moderate jumping.... I would like to at least re-spring for my weight(215)... what is the hot fork set-up guys???? There is a 70ft tabletop on my friends property that none of my trike hatin' friends think I will try on my tecate...

Call Ron Baker at PEP Suspension. He still has Jimmy Whites fork specs.

You might want to look for 90nut's Trikefest MX pics. He was airing that thing out, an 84/85.

Progressive springs are great. I had to take some preload out of mine and used 5 weight oil.

Ive got a pic in one of my vintage magazines with a Kawie rider (may have been Jimmy White) airing out pretty big. The caption said racers were getting 15+ feet of altitude with a distance of greater than 60 feet. Ill see if I cant take a pic (dont have a scanner) of the photo.

I'm with BGM, I put progressive springs in with BelRay 5wt fork oil and it made quite a big difference in the way the forks worked, much better this way over stock. I don't jump big, but this would be much better than stock for big air.
