some of us PA guys are heading a bit north next weekend to ride the lake with raffa. should be fun since I've never dont that sort of riding before.

im thinking probably 2nd weekend in march is the soonest i can do it. i'll ride on friday if there are people here to ride. like i said, i can put 5 or so people up in my house. i'd like to keep the group to about a dozen people. any interest, speak up, and the date is not set in stone yet. if i can get at least 5 people to commit we'll get further details. let me know as this will take some planning.

hey chris, dont juggle your sons birthday party for this. we can plan this ride for anytime. i just threw 2nd weekend in march out because its the earliest i can do a 10 person ride. if your buddy is the guy with the 200x at pennsyltucky, then yes he is more than welcome. like i said i can put 5 or so people up here, definetly riding on saturday all day. there is probably something like a good 100 miles of trails here and tons of climbing. there is a local hunting lease we can ride on and it is around 1500 acres. i just need to know if anyone wants to commit and we all can work a weekend out thats good for everyone. ive started to plan out a path that should be im guessing 50 mile or so round trip. the majority of this will be trails and if there is something that someone is not comfortable there is always a way around. atctim, if you and your wife are interested i'll make sure that there is a place for you to sleep. wendy is very excited to have a couple to ride with as we usually ride together. anyway fellas let me know asap so we can set a date!!!!

I'm game! That aint a bad ride if I stay the entire weekend. Do you have any pics of your local trails you can post? just outta curiosity.. I'm so used to riding in coal some new terrian sounds like fun. I get kinda bored riding around here anyways... the same stuff gets boring after 20 years lol. and I like the fact that you said theres always ways around the hard spots. I dont like hillclimbs that much anymore.. Too many tumbles down backwards.. busted bones and bikes.. know what I mean?

Anytime in march or april is good for me. I'm going to need a few weeks after Raffa's ride to get my trike all fixed up anyways. this should give me ample time to swap frames and whatnot.

i got a few pics i'll try to post tonite. the trails here will be nice to really stretch that beautiful 350 out. unfortunatlly i wont be making the ice races. i have to many bikes that need to be finished and gone fom my work area. as for the trails here there are alot of nice open paths that can be run at about any speed you dare. im thinking about mid march, but well have to see who else chimes in and wants to go. i think MOdx is in but we need conformation. if mo comes thats 3 coming in so far plus i'll have prolly 6 or 7 machines here to ride and party with us. hoping that atctim and wife dcan make it there are alot of lady friendly trails we'll be on and there not to far from me.

Looks like Shelly and I will be heading out to this outting. We will be leaving Shippenville, PA at approx 2pm Saturday afternoon because Shelly has to work that day. Should be there by 4:30 PM if all goes well. Who knows - maybe the boss will let Shelly leave a little early.

What can we bring besides the obvious trikes and delicious beer:)

We have no problem crashing on the floor if you have floor space you can reserve for us.

this is who we got. 1 & 2 . modx and friend 3 & 4 . atctim and wife 5. jason85250r ? 6. chris200x 7. brapp. this is about all i can handle at my home for the first time. i will need to know definetly if your coming by this sunday the 24th. i will also need to know when your arriving, day and time. i'll try to address any ?'s , but if you can, try to send them through the pm's you'll get a much quicker response. to answer some, brapp the dates are march 7,8,9. any thing to ride will do but, there are alot of utilitys here. thats not to say we cant run the shitouta them. i think it took us about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs max from there to here. if weather permits to ride your bike here you'll have fun on the trails!!! modx, food is up in the air yet. what i do know is that lunch on sat will be on the ride on your own dime. any suggestions? im figuring that there will be dinner friday night, sat breakfast, lunch on the road, and dinner here and sunday breakfast. and yes the got the buffalo chicken wing dip recipe.

sounds good fellas, im stuck in cleveland for the week and unsure how much i'll be able to check in. chris200x hope you can make it and if not we'll do this again sometime. either way we will have a small group of people, around 8 or so wich will be good if there is alot of snow around. my main goal for the ride is just to get some pics of the area and such. after that and the weather break we can ride just about any weekend..

i attempted to take a ride yesterday and didnt have much luck. me and 3 friends went out and had a hard time just going a mile. basically there is just to much snow on the ground. most places have at least 12 inches and alot of spots are drifted. snow is so deep that we had to take some roads home.. i have to cancel riding for next weekend.. i dont want to but, i really dont want get get people out there with me and put them in the situation where we have to ride illegally. if there is interest i can reschedule to ride any time when im sure the wether will not be such a factor.

perfect weather and trail conditions. we only got about 6 inches of snow on the ground and the trails we were on today are fairly packed down. (just enough to where you dont feel all the boulders lol)

I'm set up with a good parking spot right at a buddies house big enough for 3 or 4 trucks.. in a good neighborhood where we dont have to worry about our crap being stolen. (he says we're wlcomed anytime as long as we aint racing up and down the roads)

He's about 4 blocks from the trail. Lots of tight winding and rolling trails through pine barrens.. (would made for some great pics had I remebered my damn camera) then it opened up into miles and miles of wide open Euclid roads.. 4th or 5th gear wide open most of the day... trails and polines crisscrossing themselves everywhere. most of the day we had no idea were the heck we were. lol.

We went a good 3 hours in one direction then has to turn back due to me shaking loose my swinger bolt and loosing the nut. :(

This is definitly the kinda terrian I love.. no coal or silt.. no real hard or technical stuff either. and for the weather being as nice as it was today.. we didn't see another rider all day.

I'll be sure to bring the camera next weekend If he head out again.. I just hope the snow sticks around a bit longer cause we had a absolute blast today truckin through the fluffy white stuff.

Actually - this will work out better for Shelly and I - I was just coming on here to post up that we were not gonna be able to attend for 2 reasons - #1 - I am on call for work - and #2 we are super tight on funds right now. Postponed until later is better - I really didn't want to miss this ride.

Well since I was revved up about riding this weekend the wife said she would try out hers this weekend at BM. So me her and the boy are gonna go up and putt around a little so I can get my riding fix anyway. She doesn`t know how sloppy its going to be this will be fun. So has anyone been out ripping it up anywhere? The weekend weather hasn't been cooperating the last couple weekends but I hope to get out either this saturday or sunday. Still too cold for me to rride in the rain. hopefully it will hold off this weekend.

Next couple weekends should still be real muddy out on the trails because of the snow melt and all the rain. hopefully we dry out a bit here and we can get something for the group going.

I know josh was talking about heading to treverton sometime soon. Cude and deepa, this is someplace you guys gotta check out. Let us know when you guys are heading down this way!

i would go to Sin Clair , plenty of room for everone to park &not worry,tons of trails,hillclimbs,coal bowls... its pretty sweet me & a bunch of my friends have been going there . I also have talked to about 20 different randome people that have rode there for the past 2-3 years no problem
