total restoration

ok im wanting to completly restor my 85 ytm 200E so i want to start with the motor and i was wonderin can u buy rebuild kits or do i have to buy all the parts seperet? and im wanting to put a new mikuni carb on it where can i get one at? i got service manual coming in will that tell me every thing i need to know? and if there is a rebuild kit would that come with rings and valves? if not what kind should i get? thanx for all the hel kyle.

there is no rebuild kits, i already looked... well anywho, the carb is a 22mm, look on ebay, or ask in the wanted forum. you could get one from mikuni, but it is spendy. finally, a service manual is a must need for one of those full restore job, especially if it is your first. they really help alot, with EVERYTHING and ANYTHING!!

if that is your idea of rebuild kit, i must be off, or you are. i really only classify that as a GASKET kit, not a REBUILD kit. i only classify rebuild kits if they have everything, like rings and valves and other stuff. my apologeze go to everyone, sorry :x :( :-P

I dunno what your definition of what a rebuild kit is, but I don't know of ANY rebuild kit that includes valves for a rebuild...to me a rebuild kit is all the gaskets/seals and orings you need....should be piston rings included too.

well i just got it fixed and i got to put in new valves but it work so i ride it. and my brackes broke again! :?

ok, ok, don't go too far... keep it clean... thats good that u got it going.... btw, did you weld the brakets last time? try a different rod 7013 or 7011, or a different wire speed, heat setting.

well i didnt mees with anything besides the rings. and my carb but i still cant get it to idle right :? . any ideas? and im sorry ssj3goku.kyle
