Hi all, just wanted to say hello, this is my first thread so hope it works!! I'm a 31 yr old Honda ATC enthusiast (under statement) from Northern Ireland though currently working in the UK/ContinentalEurope, purchased this immaculate European spec 1985 ATC 70 off ebay just before Christmas and couldn't resist sharing. All the best folks! :beer

Welcome to the boards. If you're an enthusiast, that should mean you have more trikes, so let's see more pictures.

Thanks Threes company! When I saw this trike on the listing it was the quickest I've ever pressed the 'buy it now button'! :p Ennis is in County Clare which is a fair bit South of me - nice part of the world, alot of excellent riding terrain down there mind you you could say the same for the whole country, laters :beer

Aha! Is that another britisher I see?!
Hi and welcome. I'm suprised Wad hasn't spotted you yet, so I'll jump in and be the first to point you in the direction of 'Trikefest UK', which numbnuts here can't find the link to at the moment. Nice 70, I used to have one. Mine currently is a rope-propelled 3 wheeled frame with a dead engine! Smurfancoke is in your area somewhere, no doubt he'll poke his head above the parapett soon.
Dive in, trawl around and enjoy.
Rob.

Hey Ulster, can't say we were doing any riding the time I was over.... there was a very small town called Dingle (I think?)... every other building on that main st. was a pub... now i know where the term "pub crawl" came from. Pints of Smithwicks.... all I remember is waking up the next morning on some golf course half naked.

Thanks for the welcome folks - hairbear/wad, had a chat with smurfancoke yesterday and I'll do my best to get up to Tom's farm for trikefest, I think I'll be in England that weekend - sounds like a good excuse to blow the froth off a couple. Vealmonkey, believe me I wish I had more trikes but work commitments prevent it at this moment in time - I'm also an air forces enthusiast but I haven't got an F-16 parked in the driveway, know what I mean big fella? :D :TrikesOwn Heres another pic of my baby. PS threes company........mmmmmmmmmmm...Smithwicks :p

That is one of the cleanest original 70s I've ever seen. You guys get all the cool trikes with the markers  :TrikesOwn, and then you guys are able to make them road legal :w00t: Awesome little bike you have there

Thanks wheeliepop, yep the only difference I can see between the European and US versions of ATCs/ATVs is that we get reflectors for some reason and the warning stickers are slightly different. I can't take any credit for this trike though, the fella I bought it off was doing some work in a church hall and came across it in a store room - apparently the Sunday school bought it brand new in 1985 for the kids to ride but when all the concern was raised about trike safety they stopped using it and forgot about it - anyway he asked the minister if it was for sale and got one hell of a bargain (don't know how much he paid for it though it wasn't much). I estimate this trike to have less than 50 hours running time. How much would one in this condition be worth in the USA as a matter of interest? :naughty:
