Embossed 250R rear fender

I have a quick question for all. I am looking at buying a 250R that has the warning label "raised" or embossed into the rear plastic on the left side. Is this fender an aftermarket or was it offered by Honda? I looked around and all the OEM stuff has a warning sticker instead of being part of the plastic. All of the Honda replacement fenders seem to have a sticker as well. Im confused to what this fender is or where it came from. Any help is appreciated.

It is the replacement for the fender that came with the trike.All of the NOS rear waterpumper fenders had the raised warning label.

I had oem fenders from a 86 trx250r that had the warning enbossed also. I think that was done for the first few runs. I think I have 2 atc250r fenders that are embossed also, they are original 85's.

My 86 200x has it embossed also.

Ok.......so it just might be the stock fender. I guess I have never seen an original, I just thought all had a sticker.

the 85 atc 250r did not have an embossed warning in it,,, only the 86 fenders did,,,

Yep like Kasey said 86R was the only year with embossed fenders.....there also a different color to the new oem's you get these days......

The 86 250R's also had the warnings on the headlight embossed, but if you go to buy a new replacement.....it doesnt have it.
