and if you use that kit you have to have the BASE not the TOP of your cylinder machined down

The deck height is shorter on the wiseco piston kit so I had a few mm's decked off the top of my cylinder to correct the problem, the guy who sells the kit offers the modification.

I emailed tht guy just the other day to ask what the modification was and he told me it was to shave a couple mm's off the base of the cylinder.

Yes but it's more than 2mm's also when I had mine done I had my cylinder bored for the new piston then I sent my whole motor to my engine builder he decked the cylinder and did some mild drag porting which corrected the port timing. If you didn't also plan on porting your cylinder the extra material would need to be removed from around the base of the cylinder.
