350x Cases cracked????

hey, I just dissamembled a 350x motor and while cleaning up the cases noticed some crack. A lot of it but cant tell if its the paint or the metal. here is a pic of the maze of what looks like cracks. just wanting to know if they are still good

Looks like spider cracks in the paint, but whats that rough casting I see??

Sand off or wire wheel some paint off....
