what caused the blaze? many years ago a company named east coast atv had got over 20+ bikes recovered from a fire. they were almost unreconizeable. motors were melted to a blob. i think they were all yamaha banshee and blasters. anyhow im glad he got his bikes out and nobody was hurt, i hope his insurance covers his dammage. it would totaly suck to have vintage trikes burned up as many are unreplaceable and worth there weight in platnum or more to there owners.

This was Kasey here on 3ww and on .org. He was very lucky. Pictures over on .org. He was able to open the back of the trailer and rescue the bikes before they ended up slag piles. Smoke damage was about all they suffered. Hopefully they'll clean up ok.

The bike pictured is not a 250r it is his 500 conversion. It melted part of the seat and the bar pad.....It also melted the seat on his 70 conversion and some of the tire. I drove by him on the way back from the dunes and pulled over after he had all the bikes out. It was real close to being a total loss.....He believed the cause was wires for the lights on the trailer shorted and started a fire.

My legs are still aching a little from sprinting back and forth to my truck to get as much water as I could. Ugly thing to see but fortunately everything is fixable.

I'm sorry to hear about this loss. But in the end could have been MUCH worse if not for the quick actions taken. Trailers are replaceable, and hopefully your insurance will cover that loss. However, the loss of your 3wheelers is something that would be very tough to recover from. They look to be very nice machines.

yeah what can i say,,,, it is very ugly,,, i had my 70,500,the wifes yfz450, and a new to me 310,,, saw a little smoke and pulled over quick,,,, end result saved the trikes and the 450 most have severe smoke damage,, the 500 got it the worst ,, seat ,tank , shrouds and headlight are toast,,, the insurance investagator will be here tomorrow so i can unload and determine the total damage to the trikes,,, my hands are alot better ,,, it just felt like a bad sunburn for 2 days,,, only a small blister,,, i feel pretty bad about one thing,,, there was a guy there that kept dragging me away saying get away its not worth it!!! i knew that the fire was not that intence and if i was going to lose all my things i needed to see it for myself,,, i remember hitting him so hard ,, and now i know he was just helping ,, i really hope i didn't hurt him to much ,,, when i opened the door there was almost no flames left,,, and all in the front . so i started pulling them out,,,, i lost everything in the trailer BUT the bikes!!! the trailer is mostly cosmetic too ,,,, the 70 mile an hour winds from driving did most of the damage but when i stopped it calmed right down,,, so we with the help of a few others put it out before the firecrew got there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hate to hear news like that. I've neverly been seriously hurt, but everyone i know that has, all say follow rehab religiously. Lots of hard work will pay off. Was he on his Tecate? Was it the whoops and high speed that caused the accident?

here is a direct quote from 3 razors yesterday,,,, "So as for the wreck I remember it pretty well, and I was concisous the whole time. The moguls took me out.. Kasey was kicking my but through the whoops so I thought I would try and hit them a little harder to skim the top..I grabbed too much throttle and the front end came up and looped out. Loss of control at this point and my left leg came off the peg and got stuck between the sand and the axle. Meanwhile the bike wanted to keep going up the hill..bad combo for sure. I felt my leg explode and finally the bike went free. Bones were sticking out like 3 inches I think if it wasnt for my riding boots I might have lost the lower half of my leg?! Laid on patton hill for like an hour or so till the chopper came. My bro. and 3wheeler.org family took the best possible care of me and my equipment during the whole process. "

Was he on his Tecate? he was on his kx 500 conversion,, its not a tecate,,,
