chatting with my salesguy....

me and my ole lady are out on thursday doing some browsing at the local motorsports dealership, looking at the new crotchrockets. trying to make up my mind on which one we are gonna get. well we are looking around at the hondas, the zukis, and the kawis, checking them all out. the salesguy comes walking upto me, and the wife takes off to do some more browsing. so we get to talking about the bikes, down payments, monthly payments, interst rates and all, when my wife shouts across the showroom floor that she likes the kawi zx-6r. its in yellow, and to me just looked gross, so i asked the guy if he had some literature on the kawi and if i can see it in green. we got to talking about how i like my kawasaki's and i told him i have 2 pretty nice t3's sitting in my garage. he instantly knew what i ment by t3!! usually i get a puzzled look, then say tecate, and get the response "kawasaki doesnt make the ducati!" lol. so we start shooting the sh!t about three wheelers and stuff, he starts naming off all the ole school guys like white, hart, sparks, meadows, etc...and he starts talking about the winter carnival up in lake george. this dealership is just minutes away from there, in queensbury. then he says he is going to go home and have to do some digging thru his video collection. that he has the lake george nationals on tape!!! the same year that dirt wheels did the write up on it. he said he will dub it for me and when i come in to pick up the bike he will give me a copy. pretty friggin sweet if you ask me. as soon as i get that tape i will definately find a way to get it up on here. i cant wait to see it!

anyways, yup, gonna be getting an 08 kawi zx-6r, kawi green!!!!! oh the mods are all ready rolling around in my head!!! hehehehe.

I've recently ran across a couple of ol' boys that used to run the same local tracks that I raced in the mid 80's. Both said that they have several VHS tapes of the races, and will be glad to dig them out so I can copy them to DVD format. I'm probably on a video or two, but either way there'll be a lot of 3-wheeler only action to share with 3WW.

i like the buells as well. i did look at them at spitzies harley davidson, but the ninja just stands out to me and besides, its what the wife likes as well. sooooooooo, needless to say she over rides me on the buell.
