with the right amount of cutting and welding anything can work......

would i do it? probably not since you could more then likly build a x motor that would spank that thing for only a bit more money, then you just bolt it in and go, you dont have to cut and make a new "cradle" new motor mounts find a away to mount a rad.........

It appears that it should bolt in. I'm sure a little creativity may be needed for a few things but it looks like all the important parts like motor mounts and chain alignment should lign right up. I can remember seeing this engine a few months back when I was looking for a lifan, and having a brand new 250cc electric start liquid cooled engine with reverse would be pretty sweet for a 200x.

having done the lifan swap, i can tell you that the 250 will probably pack as much of a punch as the stock X engine. My 200 Lifan engine is more torquey than the stock X but ultimately slower, definitely needs the gearing adjusted.

also, the seller claims that everything needed to run the bike is included...that's false. You'll have o make your own wiring harness...which is suprisingly easy once you find one for a lifan to hack to bits.

You have any pics of your X with the Lifan swap? :pics:

There was a 200x that was for sale on ebay that had the lifan 250 put in it. Trike looked nice and the setup looked good too. I meant to get ahold of the seller to see what was invovled.
