I am in the market for new skins for the rear of my 250R. I scored a brand new KT151 for the front from a guy down the road for $20. He sold his Ozark, forgot he had the tire, and now it's mine for a song. Looks like it's gonna work well, and it's an 11 inch rim size.
For the rear,I was considering the Dunlop KT577, which are stock replacements, and the KT165, 335, and 877, all of which are 20 inchers.
I also was considering Holeshot MXR6 in an 18 inch size, and also notice they make a Holeshot in a 19 inch size. The thing with the Holeshots is they cost pretty good change. I'm using 9x9 ITP rims.
Are there any others out there that will hook up well, perform well all around, and look good without breaking the bank?

Personally I like the kenda klaws and fast trekkers, there both affordable tires that wear good and hook up very good all around.

I run the 20" 400ex stockers. Haven't had one problem with traction in any condition yet and it keeps it "Honda".

I like the Kenda Klaws as well, an affordable sport/performance tire.

I run those tires as well. they are light and get great traction only problem with them are they are 2 ply so they tend to get holes easy and they wear out fast. i have to replace mine once if not twice a year... only other tires i have used are razr which are ok but don't hook up that well and kenda knarly. all good tires tho.

I'm still a big fan of the Kenda Klaws. I'm using the 18" MXR Klaws for riding on the hard dunes near Grand Junction and they work great!

I'm thinking of going with these....

They are 20x10-9, and are just under 40 bucks apiece at BikeBandit.
I'm just wondering how they will hook up for the most part.
Otherwise, I am looking at the Klaws, probably the heavier duty version of them.

IMO the Klaws would be a far better tire than the one you posted. If you shop around, the Klaws can be had for a very reasonable price, usually around $53 for the 20" XCs.

Those will hook up pretty good and they'll clean out great but for overall performance the Klaws might feel better.

I ran Klaws on the R when I had it. For all around riding, I would not recommend a different tire, those were amazing in all conditions.

Thanks, guys.........I might have to check out the XC claws.
I'm in the market real soon for my summer skins for the R like I had mentioned.
It's about time to pulled the ice tires off real quick around here.
With so many choices out there at all different prices, it's kinda hard to pick one out sometimes.
