Am I STUPID? or is our "search" feature flawed??

Although I've been here forever, sometimes I try the search feature and rarely do I get the results I need and expect based on stuff I read years back.

Maybe I am not using it correctly :wondering I am well know to be the smartest stupidest person you'll ever meet :lol: :w00t:

I searched "450R swingarm on a 350X" - it didn't like the word "on"

I searched "450R swingarm on a 250R" - same result.

I removed the word "on" and nothing turned up..... I KNOW that it's been done and talked about here, so how the F do I find this without posting a new topic again and again....

It's just one example, but maybe thats why some people don't use the feature.

simplify it. try using the string 450r 250r swingarm try using swing arm in two words, sometimes people post it that way. I found 2 pages of results with the "450r 250r swingarm" search and found 3 with the " 450r 250r swing arm" search. Whenever possible, remove an un-necessary words or terms because people word things differently and your liable to leave results out.

I use as little words as possible too. I have found that when in a certian board and you want to search just that board(by clicking "search this board), it searches the entire forum instead of the board. You have to go to Advanced Search and select the board you want to search. No biggie, just thought Id mention it.

check out the thread i molested my r and if you need the dogbone bracket for your 350x i have the entire bottom tube you can have if u just pay for shiping. so u can use the 450 rear on the 350x frame.
