How can I tell if they are really from 83, does anyone know ?

No dates on box, just says "Made in Hong Kong exclusively for American Honda."

I have the same exact set from when I was a kid. I have always guessed they are 1983 because the decals, but also because of the other motorcycles in the deck...any idea on the value?

OMG I used to have some of these.....I totally forgot about them. They are long gone, but I remember getting them from the owner of the local Honda shop. My dad owned an independant jap bike shop in coastal Maine and we had close ties to the local honda dealer.....

I know they are 83 models what I mean is, is the deck really that old or possibly a reproduced batch of the 83 deck ?

Since I never saw them again and from your answer saleen I imagine they are the real Mcoy and the deck really is 25 years old. Come to think of it, it was sealed when I got it but I just had to open it and see what I got.

.....and yea, I got a kick out of the ATC 70 as the joker too :lol: I think they made the right choice.
