Im thinking of looking at a 84 200X in the afternoon. guy told me he'd take $450 for it. it looks complete, but in the pics you cant tell if the plastics any good. he says it smokes alittle. the rear tires dont match. front brake, his kid took the brake pad out to use in a quad, then when they put it back the thing wont pump up. I really dont need another trike (I just sold 2 70s and a 90.) I have 2 87 200Xs and a 83 185S. So If its all there and say for 400 bucks is it worth it? OR just say no to another trike. and spend a 100 bucks at beatrice cycle and get the headlight, cable, carb kit, air cleaner for the 185?
With the slowdown and all, whats the opinion. are trikes and stuff going to come up for sale more often and cheaper? So if the cash is there, just wait for something nicer to show up? jim

I think $400 bucks is about right, but with no pics its kinda hard to tell. My friend got a all stock unmolested 84 200x for $500 that had almost no problems at all. I would try and get the price down a little lower. Its really about how much its worth to you, I got a nice 86 200x for $200.00 2 years ago with only regular wear problems. I dont think the price is going to go down, probably only get more expensive. But im sure if you looked you could find a cheaper one thats nicer from a unaware seller or ebay.

I actually decided against it. like the previous post says, ive already got 3 trikes. If I were to get it id be upside down in it by the time its nice. and I can get my 185 completed for about a hundred bucks. The 87's dont really need anything but a nice detail job. I think Id rather rat hole the cash incase a real killer deal comes up. jim

I'd gladly throw $400 at anyone with a beaten up 200X around here. Its hard enough scrounging up the old hard tails!

I'm jealous.
