yea i have seen another banshee street legal, but i have never seen an atc legal in the usa. i have seen street legal atcs in other countries though, like the uk. i have also heard that some atcs came from the factory street legal and you could make some street legal. someone also built a duel sport street legal trike, try searching for it on the boards.

check your state laws. havent you ever seen a dune buggy on the road? or a trike with a vw engine? get a title for a custom built bike get a horn, mirrors, tires, turn signals etc and should be DOT compliant. that is all the guy with the quad did

There's alot of guys riding around on quads in Sioux Falls South Dakota with just some DOT approved tires and a mirror. I've heard trikes can't be licensed but it doesn't make any sense cause you see those big Harley trikes ridin around(don't see the difference).

you can get a title for your atc as a custom built bike. i did that with a non US motorcycle that did not have a US VIN and it worked fine. got a title made it dot legal and drove it on the street

sorry but there are not legal to make street legal in all fifty states and it's not that easy to do. some states allow it other's do no. it takes some crafty paper work to get them legal in yet other's. between me and my brother we've been down this road and it's really not worth it unless your are willing to do a lot of research on the matter and to look into the legality of it. some states will not honor a dmv title for a atv for dot use. and it would be a federal offense if you want to change a perfectly good and legal vin on a it.

i live in sioux falls sd and getting your quad street legal is really easy. all you need is:
title
brake light
headlight
horn
license plate light
license plate
over 200cc
and your good to go. i have done it to 3 different quads but i have been told that trikes are not able to be legalized but the answer to that question changes depending upon who you talk to

After researching you can make a atc street legal in texas easily. You have to have a title that states motorcycle which the atc's have. It doesnt matter here if it states for offroad use only. All other states you can get the title reclassified for onroad use by converting it, fill out the forms, send all reciepts in with a bunch of pictures, green sheet with the title. It takes about 3 months to get back but it is possible. some states have a law about the live axle. Remember, the dot poeple never see the bike. All they look at is the title and if it says motorcycle thats what it is. The hardest part is doing the conversion. Here is a link to the safety requirements in each state.

Do you need a motorcycle driver license in the USA to ride a motorcylce? Here you have to follow a couples of driving lessons and some road test exam to obtain the motorcycle driving license.

Well here in MA you take a 25 question test and get your permit, then you have to take a road test to get your license.

Permit is good for two years and the only restrictions are no passengers and you can't ride from 12 midnight to 5am.
