I have about a month to get my 200S ready for a big run. What's the best setup, in your guys opinions. I find my trike rather heavy with the duros and trailerhitch and stuff. Is lighter better? I know i can shed a fair bit of weight off of her but would it really make a difference? I find the duros are quite heavy.I have 3 brand new OEM knobbies that have never been ridden on. Think thay might be better than the tires i have onher now?

how is it to heavy? do mean its to much to operate or it sinks to much in mud? i ride a 200e with nobbies and those tires do great on trails and prety decent in some mud, though not that great in the real mucky stuff.

With mud it's all about wheelspin and forward movement. 20 inch tires with big lugs should do well.....

Guess im wondering if heavier is better...sink to the bottom to get traction, or lighter to float across....

Your big tires will do well. Get rid of the excess weight if you can. like the hitch but if you have a rack leave it on. Grease up what you can and let er' buck!

when my 200e starts to float it does not go any where so i have to get off and pull it beside me i would imagine if it were to sink down into it it would be very hard to pull out so floating is probably good but again i'm talking about stuff thats a foot of mud under a foot or so of water not sure how deep your talking though. if its just mud less than a foot and not covered with water then its like DC said you'll want a tire with deep lug pattern to throw out the mud. the nobbies will just ball up and act like slicks being no good.

High traction tires is the key with as much flotation as possible. Once you have sunk the engine cradle you're coming to a stop shortly.

A 200X has allot of trouble spinning 22" tires in higher gears in thick mud.
