I know were running out of parts. So, what if we were to pick out ONE part that we needed desperately, (like the 83-84 250r chain sliders). Then we could write in to a major 3 wheeler parts manufacturer (like vesrah, armor tech, etc.) and ask them if they would be interested in making an aftermarket one for us. we would have to agree to ask ONE parts manufacture at a time though, that way it would seem like their would be a bigger interest. Then if they did not want to make one, we would agree on another manufacture, and then ask them, and so on until it either works or fails.

-First we would all have to agree on ONE desperately needed part.
-Second, we would have to agree to ask ONE parts manufacture. (if we just wrote into any manufacture, it would make it look like the demand is not as high as it is, because only a fraction of the people would be writing to a certain company and it would appear that the demand is less, if that makes sense.) Example: 20 people write into vesrah, and 30 write into armor tech, when we could have 50 people write into vesrah at a time that way the demand would seem bigger to vesrah. then if vesrah did not agree to do it, the 50 people would write into armor tech.
-then if that parts manufacture did not show interests, we would go to the next, and so on until we run out of parts manufactures, or someone agrees to make one.

i guess if they saw enough of a demand, they would at least consider making some new parts? we would have to show a VERY BIG interest though for them to even consider it. i know its a long shot, but anyone think that we might actually have a chance? any thoughts? In my opinion i dont think that they would want to be bothered. maybe this has been thought of before? Just a thought that came to me, and thought id share.

Sometimes this works, I know on the rx7 forum I frequent its been tried with mixed results. Some companies its not worth their time to r&d, make all the tooling, jigs, etc. and produce a part for a minority. Where as others will make a part but usually require a sample donated, and "x" amount of people who have paid a deposit.

Your best bet would be to find a local machinist that would be willing to make a bunch of them and sell them over the forum.
