I was wondering how complete/original this Tri-Z is. I'm pretty sure its an early 85 so it should be a 5 speed right? It's supposed to have a fresh .030 over top end, and i was curious how original it is. Most of it looks like stock parts to me but i'm not too familiar with these. Thanks for your help, TC...

weren't the late 85's a red frame? I'm sure i could simply ask the guy but i was just wondering, you know how that goes.

Its is pretty clean, i got larger pics so i could zoom in and it needs a lot of detail work. Most of the paint is chipped, peeling or gone on the suspension, and frame. There appears to be some stiches on the air box cover but the plastics look to be in good condition other than that...

It looks fairly original to me. The only things that I see are the rear hubs and rims are not original. The silencer has something "goofy" going on and the rear shock resevoir is not there. Warrior rear shocks are a direct bolt on and are fairly cheap on Ebay. So what is the asking price?

He has it advertised for 1200.00 I'm picking up a green project in the morning but was wondering about this one as well (not that i want 2 major projects at once). I think that in the end its a fair price but it may be worth waiting for an 86 in the end just because that's what i'd prefer, plus i've seen them well under 800.00 for running/riding examples.

btw dirt would you mind shooting me a PM with the place you got your tecate plastics from? I wouldn't mind finding a set that clean in the near future, thanks TC...

Just from the replies it seem like it might need a little more love than i thought just from the pics. I haven't seen it in person but like i said i've seen several around the country for 700-900 that run/ride. This one does have a new top end but i guess it may need a lot of other little fixes...

im with ripper on this one, i might pass on this one, seems a bit steep at 1200, i paid 300 for mine runing and riding, not perfect by anymeans but iwas a rider.
