couldnt find enough concrete info on installing a clutch. so, here i ask?

I only bought the fibers. so i sanded the plates, all with 360 grit paper. is this course enough, or should i go to 150 grit?

i filed out the clutch basket. the outside large basket was fine, and the aluminum center piece was too. hardly grooved at all, but i just "finished" off the surfaces.

how long to soak the fibers? i have heard from minutes to hours........
i would soak them in the same oil as i will run in the trans, correct?

i think that about covers it.

OH and is 9 bux a piece for OEM clutch springs out of hand? or is that normal? damn stealership

360 should be fine

a good rule of thumb is too let them soak for 1 hour..in the same oil.. even a half hour is fine..

go with HD barnett spring..cheeper..better

clutch boss's dont groove up nearly as bad as the basket, I think you will be good on that..

as long as you got the high spots filed flat ,just untill you hit the low spots.. your good

friday Im doing two sets of 200X kickstart gears:)
