Hey guys,

im looking at buying a Long travel setup for my yfz, I found this kit-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43972&viewitem=&item=120238388219&_trksid=p3907.m29
$1725
Seems like a good deal, BUT its not the top top elkas, one step below.

Or I can go a lil more and get...
http://www.houser-racing.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=4170000-1103222175
WITH these-
http://www.houser-racing.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=6FA0000-1144177293

For a total of
800 for a arms, 100 for lines and 1300 for Fox DSC's
$2200

Or I can get the houser arms with more quality elkas for a couple hundred more.

Guess what im asking is fox really worth the extra coin? are elkas becoming extinct?

Best way I was told was
"would you rather ride on air or metal..."

What do you think? Trying to decide here.....

i would go with the fox, just because of there so damn easy to tune in, and far more adjustable then any elka. there lighter, and from what iv heard about them they ride so much nicer. and if there anything like fox air shocks for trucks, there dirt cheap to rebuild:beer

not saything that elka is a bad shock, there amazing but i think you said it, there getting phased out. but im sure they will come out with something soon to mach the fox air, since you see more fox shocks on the mx tracks now then elka (in the pro class's anyways)

elkas are no where near as smooth.fox's are the poop.if your going to buy a spring shock, they are great, custom axis are also very nice!,and they have a air shock out now too

All the pro-am guys that have a choice down here are running ultra high-end PEPs or the FOX's.

stay away from the HOuser a arms the ball joints they use wear out real fast. ive seen guys have them come apart after 1/2 a season. get the Jansenn setup.

with the +3 a arms your going to need to get 4" back spacing wheels go be under 50" wide.
