This might be the dumbest question

im trying to put a stator cover on a 110 motor i beleve its a 84 and i am wondering if they were all the same for all years of cdi motors cause the oil return hole (i think thats what it is) keeps leaking oill all over and i am starting to think they are diffrent or im doing something stupid help would be great!!
