You guys all love aluminum don't ya? :p and it's HUGE money for the precious metal, even just 6061.... I'm always making a toolbox/exhaust/engine mount/relocation bracket and wish I had some aluminum.
The place I had worked as a machinist called me up and I scored this aluminum.

Some of that is 1" thick and more than 4' long :eek:!!
Now I can build whatever billet shock linkage I want.... :w00t: :lol:

cool, too bad that wasn't 2219 or 1100 al alloy, you would be swimming in money

Yes, I pretty much do any of the fab work I need to do out of alu. In fact I really need to make a scrap run for some more stock.
But I hafta PAY for mine :)
I bought a used bench top band saw and have 18 tooth per inch blades made for about 5 dollars each to cut my alu. , works like a champ !
I have a project under way using alu, atc drink holders :).

those are most definately drink holders, i've seen them in person. I cant believe honda never made those :crazy:
I see a custom swingarm in there.:cool:
