with the gas prices yadayada, i picked up a sweet little cb with 2700 original miles on it from a guy 2 hrs from me.

it is currently in the process of getting all the attention paid to it that has been put off for a few years. i work on it, test ride it, work on it, test ride it...total blast!! i have the list whittled down to just needing a flasher for the blinkers and plates. finding a free service manual download was time consuming but well worth it.

here are the pics he had in the ad, i will take more tomorrow...:beer

Cool! One of my friends bought a CB100 last summer, he has the white w/ red model. I rode it over Thanksgiving, it was a fun ride.

well, pics are small and only load half way, but it looks nice. i like the looks of the gas tank. what are you going to do with it? anything special?

according to 3&4 wheel action 9/96, the 200X engine started life as a cb100 engine. huh. (see the paragraph under the quad doing a wheelie) http://www.3wheeler.org/3&4wheelaction/9-96%7E200xMods.html

yea, my camera just went dead too. its pretty sweet, im still trying to get the carb dialed in..Arrrrg!

im extracting HP from it every day, and let me tell you...i have never rode a 4 stroke anything that reved as smoothly at about 9000rpms. and thats with the motor mounted solid in the frame. including my 450r!

my plans with it only include getting about 80 miles to the gallon(hopefully!) with fuel prices with the way they are. all my banking and parts running will be made on it rain or shine :D i do want to put a set of tag2 bars on it for a drag look. *shrug*

:w00t: i put a brand new 22mm mikuni that i ebayed for my atc110 project, even got the stock keihin jet to work! the thing really runs good/strong now and can cruise quite comfortabley at 50mph. now we'll see what kind of mileage i get.

That is pretty nice, I'd be a little scared to run it on the street though with the top speed of fifty. I hope you live in a nice rural area.

was reading some info at the dealer yesterday about a 200x. supposedly it got 60mpg if it was broken in properly.

since the 200x engine stemmed from that cb100...you should see well over 80mpg

yea im not going down any major highways with it, just crossing them ;)

i put 74 miles on it (most of which was hammering down tuning in the carb) and put .9 of a gallon in it. over 80 mpg indeed! :D :D

Nice bike, I had a cb125. It was Red. It was a riot to ride around on and cost me a grand total of $90. $40 to buy it and $50 to get it running. Then one day I sold it for $300 to a guy that spotted it and wanted it altho it wasn't for sale.
