What do you guys think, is this bike worth what the guy wants for it? I emailed him and he says no test rides because he was sued once but supposedly it has like 3 hours on it since built.

He is way too high! I booked it out at $350 and that is for excellent condition. You will have to use your judgement on what it is worth to you. I would not give over $600, but it is your call! Keep us posted on what you decide.

If it had disk brakes and a little better suspension I would jump all over it. IDK I was thinking it was worth $900 but maybe I'm really off. Seeing all these high trike prices can mess up your judgement on older stuff......... .

The older thumpers are going up in value. They bring good money on e-bay. Not everyone can afford to go spend 5-6k on a new one. The old XRs are prety cool bikes. Id say if thats what your looking for and it runs good, get it. Or wait for the barn find for $150.00 and hope it runs good.

Sure you can still book out older bikes, atvs, etc. I am not saying that the book price is the final price. Look at right now since gas jumped in price, small cars that get MPG have jumped in value. Just like Iowarotax said, new bikes are crazy priced and that brings up value on old clean bikes, not junkers. I use the book value to get a idea of worth at this time. I linked the book value below.

That would easily pull in $1100 up here.
I'd say if you could get it for a thousand or less, then you got a pretty good deal.
That is, as long as everything is in the shape he claims.
if he wont let you ride her then make him rip down the road shifting through the gears. when he comes back listen to the motor idle check the clutch, check the bearings/swinger, wheels, neck, cables, suspension, ect.ect. look fer rust in the fuel tank and check the oil. imo you can get a newer bike fer 1100. if your going to get her road legal she is gonna need some more money spent. some one in here just sold xl600 fer 125.00
