kreme my gas tank? rust'd 83R tank ?'s

my tank is a bit rusted, I wanted to kreme it but I doubt I can find a dealer locally to buy some from before a ride comming up in 2 days. The tank is rusted mildly cause its been empty for 6 months. I have a brand new UNUSED 300R built 250r motor from sprock racing that Im afraid to subject to the debris in the gas tank. should I be? Its been cleaned out, but been sitting empty for like 6 months. theres rust in it no lie there. But will that be an issue? Can I just flush it with some gas and then fill it and run it? I dont know so feel free to give me some input here :confused: thanks

Go to the local hardware and buy some naval jelly and a bag of decrotive rocks. Throw a handful of the rocks in the tank and all of the naval jelly in there too. Shake it up real good and flush the rocks and jelly out real good. Immeadiately fill the tank with fuel and you should be goo for a while.

corey sprock just called me to inform me that I can just use some toilet bowl cleaner to disolve the rust. super secrect stuff though, dont tell the rest of the forums!! im going to use it and abuse it
