OK, I would like to invite any takers in some riding next weekend up in NH. Deepa is planning on coming up on April 26th for a day of riding with his tri-z and i will have my 250r or 350x for the ride.

Depending on feedback and interest, I can plan a dry ride or mud/wet ride, even some night riding. If you wanted a cleaner/dry run, i would suggest newport NH RR trails. Otherwise i will plan up by my house for some moderate muddin' (not too bad).

In my own town in NH. Located outside Manchester , I live in a small rural town with alot of trail access from the powerlines, just 1 mile from my house.

I probably have 20-30 miles of trails that span 3 towns. There are many that i havent even explored yet because they get too deep in the woods for me riding by myself. But with a few others, we can explore all of them.

These trails are powerline roads, class 6 roads, and private trails - NH registration is not needed but nice to have just in case. I have been riding these trails for 5 years with no issues and now that i have seen many of the state trails - I think mine are just as good with less traffic.

Skid plates are advised and at least 2 tanks of gas needed...... Let me know if any are interested.... Plenty of parking, plenty of partyin... Come on trikers and KFX ( ) - lets ride.. Most of the state and club trails are closed until end of May for mud season- so this is a perfect spot to "get it out of ya".

Maybe I'll even let you all see my showroom trike collection in my basement - maybe.....:naughty: .

edit - i edited some details to keep somewhat quiet. PM me for location details if interested.

thats why paul put the post up. not too long of a ride from you. just an hour and 10 or so...

paul will chime in here again eventually. I may or may not have a skid plate either. just try to avoid them. if you have to hit it, hit it hard and make the most of it

Come on out Josh. Dont worry about reggie as these are mostly private access. I just went out yesterday to check out the mud situation and it really isnt that bad. If the weather stays dry, the trails will be dry. Just a few washouts and some 4x4 ruts.

I do ride without a skidder on my 350x since a friend of mine busted it off...uuuhmmm.. So you should be fine as long as you are conscious of it. These trails arent too rough at all.

I will PM you my information so you can spec it out and see if you want to come out. :welcome:

bump bump bump

The R is ready, just came in from swapping in new rear caliper. Replaced the front bearings and greased up and new oil change. 350x got a new throttle cable and just needs a new chain, so i will get that done in case you are riding that deepa.

Going out for a 2 hour cruise this morning. Ill get some pics of the trails for anyone thinking of coming out here.

Weather is dry all week- so i would say the mud will be minimal/dried up.

Chain is ordered for the 350x and put in a new halogen, so its ready for ya deepa. I lost one HL socket/wire but i must have a spare somewhere to get the other one working.

KFX is coming out. I have tons of trails to check out, guys. I find more and more as i am searching the area on google earth. I am trying to mount a 1 gallon gas tank to my grabber so we can go further - it just might work out.

OK - figure we hit the trails by 10am Saturday. My trikes will be ready and loaded when you guys get here. Deepa if your riding the X, we'll just load your truck up with it. Park down at the trails for better/closer gas access.

Romp around the powerlines and all the surrounding trails for like 3 hours, check out all my cool hangouts in the woods.:) Then get something to eat for lunch. Top off the gas and mount my spare gas tank and go for a real long ride to the west. Then head back, gas up again, go for a night ride to the east.

gonna be awesome guys.... I cant wait.

Oh - I will be out of town on the road on Friday til late. Just in case your looking for me for directions or anything.

Sounds good. I need to figure out the best place to park your trailer. I ll get some burgers and hotdogs for the grill.

Deepa, if your riding the 350x - bring some gas for it.

There is a dunkin donuts, gas station and country store all within 5 minutes of my house. A sunoco station/store will be the last and closest gas and right on the way to my house/trails.

paul just be sure the place is wide enough so branches are not rubbing down the side of my truck please. i have no probelm riding from your house to the trail if its only a mile or so down pavement. we are loaded and ready to go.

No branches to worry about. I am more so thinking about you 3 point turning. Should be plenty of room.

Well, here is a picture of one of the parking spots. This is where i like to park but as you see, the water needs to be crossed - i do it in 2 wheel drive so its solid. Keeps the riff raff out. Its very dry this week so it will be real low saturday...

There is also parking up by the main road more as well if you dont like that stream crossing.

Trails are pretty dry. Weather is cool for saturday. vrrruuuupppp

Oh Yeah, there will be a few quads/motorcycles I am sure on Saturday. Many of the local neighbors ride these trails and Ive meet some people from manchester as well that truck em in. Also usually see a 4x4 truck testing out their new tires on these back road trails.

The only thing to watch out for is to stay away from the powerline inspectors and let them do their job. They cruise around in orange f350s with big mudder tires and a 4x4 quad in the back - they dont bother me since they are just contractors for the powergrid...

Gonna be some rocks on these trails but really not that bad. Do some new exploring on some trails. Alot of ponds and streams to check out as well. I'm psyched..............................

Deepa was building his bike yesterday and today i think. I hope i get the new chain for the 350x today as a backup plan for him. It will be.....

Here's some pics. Only had the camera for the second half of the ride. But here are some shots i took. Another great ride. Rolled out of the woods at 10pm.

Thanks for coming out shawn, had a blast.... Let me know if you want to come back. Deepa couldnt make this ride, so a lonely triker in a sea of quads again.:w00t: Got to explore some new territory and meet up with some 4x4 dudes that got stuck big time in the bogs.

Kicking off the season with another great NH ride..... busted my rear skidder and kfx busted his front bumber off.. Some nice carnage to start out right.
