Can anyone tell me what kind ocarb is on an 84 Kawasaki Tecate250cc? Friends bike it running rough and eating plugs. I was going to clean the carb and set the pilot. where are you setting the pilot at?

Spec page says its a Keihin VM32SS carb. Well, which is it? the VM32SS is made by Mikuni?.?... Can anyone shed light on that?

I do believe it should be a mukuni round slide

I have extra time on my hands so I thought I would look it up for ya:)
32mm Roundbore mikuni
230 main
45 pilot
Needle 6fj50-4 with clip on 4th groove from the top
Float height 23.8 +/- 1mm
Air Screw not listed but a good rule of thumb is 1.5 turns out from lightly seated.
This info is straight from the oem Kawasaki workshop manual.

mikuni uses a different numbering system

tell your friend to junk the stocker and throw an 38mm airstyrker on that bad boy!!! cheapon ebay, new for like 185-225 bucks.
