Hi fellow Trikers,
I'm sure this question has been talked about before, but I did do a search and couldn't find anything on it.
Can a CR500 Pipe bolt straight onto an 86R, or do you need to modify it?
Thanks.
Paul.

What mods did you do?
Is the flange the same size on the 250 pipe?

Theres mine I made from an 85-87 DG CR500 pipe. It wasn't real hard, just time consuming.

Guys i think he wants to bolt on a cr500 pipe to a atc250r.
In that case it wont just bolt on. The flange and stinger are both larger on the 500.

Yes that's right, I am putting a 310 kit on my 86r and I am looking at pipe options.
I got a new DG pipe but then I was told that it would be too restrictive with my new set-up.
Is this true?
If so, what pipe should I run?
Thanks
Paul.

Your just running a 310 kit? You dont need a CR500 pipe...just get a good 250R pipe like an Paul Turner High rev, ESR, or an old FMF.

It should physically work because the exhaust port on the 310cylinders isn't any larger, but you wont get the performance gain you should.

go with the ESR or contact CT racing for a pipe.
