my 200M is almost complete, but before i can do much riding on it i will need to get insurance on it as its required up here in ontario canada to be legal. not talking about fire/theft. i just mean basic insurance so you can leave your property and cops wont give you a big $$$ ticket.....
i did alot of searching in the forums but most of the posts on this subject are over a year old.
i checked with my current auto insurance (pc financial) and they told me they don't insure 3 wheelers. :(
has anyone been able to find a insurance company that will insure a 3wheeler in Canada? how much is it costing you?
any info will be appreciated

All I know is that some insurance company list trike on their website when you do a free quote... Try to call an other insurance company.

I'm insured with State Farm here in London and I'm paying around 130 with everything if memory serves me correctly. Just ask for off road liability for your ATV, Don't volunteer the three wheeler info, just say it's a Honda ATV and this is the VIN.
If they give you grief go to the next one in the phone book.

thanks for the info.
i guess when the insurance company enters in the vin number it does'nt bring up all the information on the atv?
i know when you give them the vin number for a car/truck they get all the information on it, model, year etc..
oh perhaps it does but it still comes up as an atv.
anyways, will try as you suggested and hope it goes well.

Yeah im not sure right now what insurance copany here insures trike but there is one..it runs about 150 bucks a year. If your caught here with out insurance its a 575 dollar ticket so 150 a year seems good

I did the same thing that RoscoW said ( he's the one that told me to do it ;) ) I've had insurance now for almost a year. It costs me around $24 a month.

I've got mine with State Farm for $5 a month. I have my truck, ATC200, 200x, GSXR and the RZ with them also, that's why it's cheap for me.
It's a ATV, not a trike when you talk to them. You might have to have a car with them to get the insurance.
Where in Ontario are you?
