I am interested in knowing what you guys think my 250r is worth if I sold it on ebay. I doubt I will sell it, but am curious.
1986 Honda 250r
310 big bore kit
paul turner exhaust
K&N air filter
rear shock was just rebuilt, with new bumper
carb cleaned and new jets, floats, inlet needle
original seat, no tears
rear fender in above average shape
new rims with new armstrong turf tamers
runs excellent, idles perfect, no leaks of any kind
only negative is the fuel tank is discolored, and it has no lights
Thanks...hope this ok to ask this question

Probably 1600 or so. You'll never get as much out of them as you put in. All those "go-fast" mods, people won't want to pay extra for.

True. it makes no sense, considering most people that get these things do that stuff to them anyway........and that stuff costs a TON.

Luckily I didn't put the mods on...2 guys before me did...I only paid $1000 initially for the bike, and now have added about $250. the majority of that was for the shock rebuild.

any idea how I could tell what paul turner exhaust I have...also...does it make a difference on what packing material I use in the silencer?
I think it depends on what area you are in. I've seen between 1500.00 to 3500.00 for good condition bikes just based on where they were being sold at.

I cannot identify your Paul Turner. I know that the High-Rev was very popular for the 250R trikes, it is most likely that.
As for packing material, you can use commonly available Pink Panther fiberglass insulation, or you can use the Silent Sport packing that you get at DennisKirk. Also, you can pack with steel wool, but it will be louder.

I would have to agree with the 1500-1800 range, it takes two bidders to raise the price.
I paid 1850.00 for mine, yes thats a lot in my book and no its not mint but it does have receipts/pics of a full bottom/top end rebuild and lots of new parts all around. Only thing i found it needs are the carrier bearings. I feel it was a good deal mainly because it came with a clean title and to me thats worth a few hundred bucks so i can register/ride it legally...
