what are the best paddle tires for the money? i've heard that the skat-trak haulers are good but dam theyre expensive  . how many paddles do i want? do i want something with more of a scoop on them or more of a blade?i can get some 20x11x9 dunestars for $62 a piece at the local dealer. i have some prowedges and some 4-snows im probablly going to use at silver lake on the 10th but i really rather have some actual paddle tires. anyone got a link to some cheap tires? heres what dunestars look like http://denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/tire/atvtireproduct.jsp?skuId=653178&store=Main&catId=108&productId=p653175&leafCatId=10802&mmyId=

Kevin I would say the best tire out there for the money are GBC sand devils. I payed 150 for tires and rims 2 years ago from rocky mountain.com . They do not sell them anymore. They do sell them somewhere.

What exactly are "bolt tires"? Just regular knobbies with bolts stuck through them?

Hey Kevin, My brother and I both have been using the AMS aerospeeds, for the once or twice a year we make it to the dunes they work perfect for us and are cheap. Scott ran them around here on the loamy trails on his DS650 and they held up really well.
Paddles are also almost unstoppable in the snow, We were running in snow up past the engine skid plate on my R and the rear end was trying to pass the front wheel all the time, even chugged thru some drifts deeper than the wheels.
We got ours at the duneland store beside the Dune Parking at Silver Lake, David Allen Racing 20-11-9 at 65.95 less 25% for online orders, pick them up when you go and there's no shipping.

I personally love the Gecko's and have them on all my 250R's. They slide really well and hook up good. I used the sand sharks and sand stars on my 86 R's and hated them, I'd be ripping into corners and slide and they would all of a sudden grab and throw me onto one wheel. I've only had that happen once with the gecko's and I didn't have enough speed so...go figure.
