i own a200es, pretty good shape atc. the plug seem to foul out all the time, even with new plugs, tryed all brands and still the same. i trow a new plug in first haul she goes, go all day on the same plug, but when u stop her she a no go. i changed the plug cap, plug wires, coil, cdi box chec the plusar and everything seems to be good. i checked this before taking a trip and after taking a trip. the bike has good compression around 130, smokes a lil bit but not much. i cleaned the carb and checked the jets. a few people told me that the needle and the needle seat tends to wear out fast. any ideas on that? i think i'm gonna try and drop the needle down one notch and c if that helps her out a bit.

i had one that did that one time and i rebuilt the carb and set the needle in the middle notch and it seem to fix it but mine never fouled the plug . might want to check the plug gap ,

got the same problem right now...and i replaced the needle and seat..it dont fowl them as often but it still does. I think the whole carb should be rebuilt. If that doesnt fix it it could be the valves not seating 100 percent.

i was just thinking could the inhibiter switch be causing alot of problems, and could this be bypassed. when i gets home form work i am going to try and switch them with one i got kicking around and or try and figure out how to buypass it. is this hooked up with the reverse switch and the nutural switch?

I've got the same issue with an '84 200M that I just came over to the site to research. Fouls plugs quite often - clean it up and it'll run like a top for a few days and foul again. Really spits and sputters if it's cold out as well. I was leaning towards putting in a complete carb rebuild kit - anyone use the ones off Ebay?
Also, any way to check to see if it's a weak spark issue?
Thanks

i took the air cleaner filter of and she running better, strange because its a brand new filter, and notices my air screw was out 1/2 turn, dunno if it will help, haven't really gave her a run but seems to work better.
