I was wondering is a 83-85 200X or a watercooled 250R axle would fit? thanks jim

250x/300ex will
early 200x's wont since the brearing is a different size
and the R i think is wider at the bearing surface.....not 100% sure
edit... it just hit me....the R has a different offset sprocket hub(chain would not line up at all)

Ya know, a 450R axle slides right in the 350X carrier bearings.....
What else it would take to work correctly??, I don't know. Haven't got that far yet...But I know you can get MINT OEM axles for a 450R cheap....
I believe I noted the seal journal on the axle was larger on the 450R and would have to be turned down in a lathe or altered somehow to fit in the 350X seal area in the carrier.
Somebody has to know more about it than me..........or I'll measure some stuff up and see whats up.

the 450r and the 250r axles are interchangable....but the sprocket on a 350x would not line up
the 450 axle slides in since they (and a 250r) share the same brearings

What would it take? If an adapter/simple spacer could be made....
All the good 350X axles are drying up......

get a 300ex aftermarket +4 axle. they fit rite in with no mods just need 300ex sprocket and wheel hubs. i did it to my 86 350x it has a 300ex lonstar axle so i know it works
the 450r axles with width wear the bearings ride is farther apart so it won't work.
