not sure about the holes sealing, but you can generally get it at any radiator shop.

sweet nova scotia eh i live in moncton i just caled my local rad shop and they dont wanna sell me the stuff they use but they offered to do it for 155$ plus tax for that price i rather buy another tank
POR15 is a better sealer if you have pinholes, youo can physicaly tape over the holes, pour POR15 in 2-3 coats, let stand dry, remove tape and go ride! look in my gas tank restoration thread for info.

skyo do you use the tank liner they make or just straight up por 15?
I use the tank liner they make, if you plan on using it yourself for 1 tank I sugest getting the pint of it, becouse once you open por15 tank liner, you have to use it! it will not be good even if you reseal it great back in its can.

yes, red kote will seal the pin holes. they recommend brazing larger holes first though. you can get it on ebay. i just used it on my plastic tecate tank to seal it off so gas fumes can't go through it any more and deteriorate the tank. i plan on getting it painted that exact green color as the shrouds so it looks better than new.

I did the Kreeem thing and i wouldnt say its garbage but kinda time consuming. The inside has to be completely rust free and i found the chemicals in the kit wasn't enough and had to go buy some boric acid to get the job done. All in all i think if i can get my hands on some red-kote i'm gonna do another tank i got here just for sh!ts and giggles....

I just Red Koted a tank on my dad's fourtrax. It has been drying since Sunday and still has a slight solvent smell, I assume it's dry but wanna be sure before I pour gas in it. The procedure was simple, I will definately do it again if I need to.

How long does it take to dry?

The can says 24 hours, and also says that when dry the solvent smell goes away. It's dry, I'm just taking my time with it.
