Hey guys,
I'm hoping someone out there can help me.
I have an '81 250R. Absolutely love it, runs like a champ, but the last time I took it out.... I broke an axle.
The rear axle snapped on the drum side, about a half inch from the wheel hub.

I have been looking around trying to find a replacement and have been unable to find anything. I have found axles, but they are all for the 84-87 trikes. The guy at my local honda dealer told me he thought the axle from an 82 would work. I bought one on ebay, just to get it, to find out that it is for a disk brake setup, and won't fit on my trike.

So I guess my question/plead for help is...... anyone know of a source for a replacement axle? Or any other suggestions? I just want to ride... weather is finally getting nice and my trike is up on jack stands :(

you need to post a want to buy add in the classifieds here, there are a few members here that should have what you need, also you can use the 82 axle you just need to mod a few things and add the hydraulic mastercyl and caliper.

yeah, I was considering using the 82' axle, but wasnt sure how much modification i would have to do. Anyone have any experience with that... i'm open to suggestions that way as well.

I love my trike and am completely fine with tearing it down to do whatever, I just don't know much about them, and don't want to start buying all kinds of parts if its something that won't work when I'm done.

You can find anything on e-bay if you're persistent enough. I recently found a billet clutch basket for the 81-84 250Rs on e-bay.
