Ok, I have another chain question. How long of a chain will I need with a +3 swinger and stock gearing?

yeah, I needed to know how many links I needed- thought +8 would do it so I bought one only to find out that I need +10. So I have a brand o-ring chain that I can't use.

..........................you cant count?
just get one thats way to long and cut it to fit, all you need to cut a chain is a grinder and a flat blade screw driver
Dammit!

Even the cheap link popper tools work really well.

Kind of hard to count when I'm at work and my trike is at home. Like I said I thought +8 links would be plenty for 6" but after I got home to "measure" it I found that I was 2 links short after I bought a +8 chain off of ebay... and yeah I usually would wait to make sure but this was a $100 chain for $40 and I thought that I was in the clear.

What brand chain is it? If it's a DID X-ring by some miracle I might take it off your hands. I'm installing a +2 swinger soon.

So what did you end up needing length wise?? I run a +3 1/4" swinger and use a 106.

Dammit- Nah it's not a DID it's a EK.
Rustytinhorn- yeah, that's what I need 106 links but I bought a 104 link- wasted money again by tryying to save a dolla.
