I have a 85 Tri-z. While draining the coolant to do a cleaning I found the bottom drain plug stopped up. No antifreeze would come out so I took the hose off to drain it. I tried to unstop it with a wire but not to successful. Is there any easy way to unstop it.? Exactly where in the back of the hole does the water run out from.. top, side, both. I tried to use a bent wire to feel for the port up inside the drain hole but no success. Thanks for any input.

blow compressed air in the hole with the Rad cap off

Ok I'll try that. If the clog is stubburn will I have to pull the big cover off to get it unclogged or just leave the clog alone?
Thanks

you will need to fix's this problem, could be something else like the water pump impeller.

These tend to break often, and cause the motor to lock up.

Buy some Gasket's for the big cover & water pump cover.
