I have been finishing the ol tecate project up. I decided to tear down the rear again and give it a proper dismantle/grease up. I was never happy with the swinger as i kept everything original as possible and it just looked dull with a few chips. I ended up sanding down the swinger with a MOUSE sander and polishing it out to a mirror finish - looks good and alot cheaper than powder. I gave it a two tone look with the original finish on the inside and polished on the outside (if that makes sense), looks sharp and subtle.

While in there, i finally replaced the rear rusted brake disc and made sure everything is in good shape - its amazing cause the original bearings are still nice and tight....

If the carb wasn't leaking everywhere from dryout, this trike would be running right now..... Its dumping gas into the cylinder..

Items to finish this project:

Rear Shock rebuild - sending to sblt500r for that
Needs new chain and sprockets
needs new chain rollers - blue for accent color
new carb - probably larger than stock
Hoosier rear tires - with polished 10 inch rims
Front # plate
needs axle lock nuts - cause i destroyed the original ones removing

I am hoping for the mid summer to have it running and driving down the street. More and more I want to ride this tecate since the market has tanked for value and people just arent buying gas powered toys as much.....

Man i didn't know you had one of those too, hows that old mopar coming along? Anyway the T3 looks great, and if you're gonna be around i will be at chrysler carlisle with either my panther pink duster or the 71 shaker hood challenger. I'll look you up a little closer to the time, TC...

If anyone is making plates - chime in, cause i will be looking for one. I thought he was making a one piece unit like a year ago? Those two piece PRM units wouldnt last one ride for me up here in NH --> granite state.

I have only seen one other tecate with that skid plate on it and it was on ebay i think. I have the chain one too, but its too bulky and sticks out too much.

The only news on the CUDA is that my seats came back from my sister who recovers them as a side business - she is a wizard with sewing and material fitting (last seats she did was on a 60k muscle car). My welder still needs to finish the quarters and then should be ready for primer soon? When i get it up into my garage i will send you pics (its in MA now).
