OK I'm doing a complete motor rebuild on a Honda 185s motor included.
I bored the motor 2mm over (.080) and am using the weisco piston (12.1:1 comp vs the stocker 9.8-10.0:1)
I'm wanting to know what is recommended for jetting? I just ordered the stock Honda #100 and #105 main jets. the place did not show any listing for larger idler jetting so not sure what to do to ensure it idles correctly and has correct low end torque.

what jetting do you guys recommend I use? Does someone have a complete jet kit available?

i was told the 200s carb has larger idle and main jets and that i should consider using it. is this a better idea?

any help is needed. I'm not building a racing bike. I want something with decent low end grunt to get me over hills and such at lower rpms. I'm just wanting something to toodle around with and just easy riding and enjoy. I'm not someone who is wanting to do any real performance work on it.

anyway thanks in advance.

mike

You can order any size jet you want for it. Is stock a 38/100 (pilot/main). Your pilot should be fine, and I would think that the 105 will be good too. Tell us more, stock airbox? air filter? exhaust?

stock air box, stock exhaust, uni air filter

maybe larger valves but not 100% certain on that so far. at least stock for sure. though and a slight porting to the head (friend is a head porter and is gogin to port it to help with power down low)

i thought my stock was 35/98? is this wrong?

I'll have to check, maybe the 38/100 is the 200S stock jets.

The 83 185S was 38/98, 84 200S 35/100. That's according to Bike bandit.
