Opinions on suitables. I have a budget of $200 to rebuid the top end on the 200s. I was looking on denniskrik and they have this Pro x assembly. Is this an ok brand?

I went on www.dratv.com and priced out an entire rebuild for your atc. Valves, valve seals, valve guides, cam chain, cam tensioner bow, gaskets, piston kit with rings and pin. Came to about 155.00. I figure it cost about 40.00 to bore it. Sounds like if your capable of doing all the work yourself except boreing the cylinder you can have a brand new motor within your budget. However if you want to just slap a top end in it then you can get a piston kit and gaskets for under 75.00 from dratv. As for prox pistons. I used a set a few years ago in a Kx250 that I sold to a friend of mine. I know he has never cleaned the air filter since I sold it to him and its still holding up. Depending on what your looking for prox is a cast piston, but thats just fine for an atc since its not a race engine.

Pro X makes a ton of great top end for the liquid R's, so i would think that it is safe to assume that anything with the Pro-X name is a good product.

Ok so I brought the cylinder down to the local honda shop and it must be bored over to 65.5mm. I got the piston/rings/gaskets from dratv. Well they charge $60 for bore and $80 parts+gaskets and I have to find a cdi somewhere as mine crapped out. That puts me at or just at budget.

So with that, is there a breakin period for the new piston and rings set being that it had to be bored? I have the manual just looking for opinions.

Thanks
