I'm south of Tampa about 45 min. I've been trying to get hooked up with 1BFC but i just can't coordinate times with the new baby and all of that good stuff. But my R is registered for croom...

yeah Crooms ain't what it's all cracked up to be anymore :( Back when I was younger we used to go and like Ron said you could ride the main road, my dad and family used to get there trikes and drag race on that road up before the turn..Wicked tri-z, my old mans tecate and my 250r at there prime, ugh I miss that
Now it's full of young punks who cause problems, to many damn rules, and yea it's gay now lol
With the way places are to find to ride in FL, I sure as hell wouldn't post ANYTHING on a public message board on where to ride.
IMO, you guys should edit that info out and just tell folks face to face.
It's seriously bad in FL for riding spots and this is why I say that.
Croom is just too rough and too many criss crossing trails with trees every 2 inches.

agreed they are just killing the ridding around here which sucks! I have a nice neighborhood to play in but that itself still brings problems.
croom is north of zepherhills at the brooksville exit.

I am new to the board also. I'm near Orlando.
Just got back into trikes, have yet to get out there and ride again, beats the back yard, though the lil 70 is a blast anywhere.
Would love to go riding someday real soon. Let me know.

I dont see anything wrong with talking about Croom. It has been around since the 70's as a public off road riding place. Everybody in Florida knows about it, how can they not, its over 2000 acres. Although Croom is not how it use to be Croom is still one of the best places you can ride off road with 2, 3, or 4 wheels anywhere in the state.

My driveway is about 40 feet long and concrete. But at least I will not be riding in an over populated area with stupid ass rules that I paid way too much to get into full of novice riders that run into to each other all the damn time. But other than that, it's cool.
YOU guys need to check out the motoplex its a pretty good treck north of croom (almost GA) but there isnt a problem with trikes there, they have XC races and motorcross races there as well, and soon even flat track, all are open to trikes, not only all the tracks there but there are tons of trails for riding as well.

Yea florida dont care much for leting ppl in the woods ,all the places i used to ride :Sarno, credit union, milwakee trails, place off of babcok all gone or the cops come after ya ,back when i was younger thats wher i grew up :).are all gone or just fenced off so im buying property in holapaw u buy an acre and u get to use 1ks of acres of goodness seems like one of the last places but until i get that i go out there with my dads friends and theres also good place off of grant road to ,i also when with a friends family to river ranch which was also a great time out there but u have to buy land there to and i here they dont allow dirt bikes any more which i dont own but still seems kinda shitty to restrict you on that. Oh yea located in melbourne FL always up for riding on the weekends
Florida riders unite! put an end to them takeing the woods away

the sand hill sand pits are up here an GA about 6 hrs or so from you, the motoplex is about 3 1/2 hrs from you.

syko and myself will be at the sand pits this weekend.I will be riding ocala the weekend after.I am at either 5a or ocala at least once a week.I wish they had a day pass at croom.
I wasn't referring to Croom when I said don't talk about local riding spots. I was talking about another spot that could very easily be closed down if folks are not careful.
Anyway, it's really best to just not talk about your private local spots on a message board. Public places like Croom/motoplex/ocala, etc are of course just fine as they won't just get closed down one day.
I have to replace the rear bearings/carrier on my R before I go riding again so I'll be down for a little bit. I want to go check out motoplex and sandhills some time later this year. I'll be up for a little road trip/convoy what have you :)
IF they put some work into the trails at croom it would be a decent spot to ride. Unfortunately all the trails are extremely whooped out and I have a hard time getting into 3rd on my R for more than a second or two there. It's just too tight and rough and you have to have your head on a swivel to avoid hitting someone too since all the trails criss cross.
Anyway....Looking forward to eventually getting some group ride time in :)

You forgot me sykolincoln im a FL boy. im actually Loking into riding at a track in bithlo. Bithlo motorsports. I have talked to the lady about riding there and i still need to call her back. she seems pretty cool with it so we will see. I can't ride at croom untill i get my trike tittle which is a pain in the butt to do here. YOu need a original bill of sale from the dealer. i haven't found a way around that yet or a way that works. Croom is nothing but sand woops deep ones at that. ITs fun on a dirtbike but if your trike doesnt have good shocks it might not be fun there.

Yea, only places I've been to that allow riding is in Arcadia, though, I usually go with the RV and the family, so it's not much all-out speed.

well i just went for the last time last week the pass ends at the end of the month and had to get in one more ride there...the pass is 60.00 a year and if i get hard up ill pay... but like you said you dont get in or pass 3 gear and that sucks...and my beast tends to overheat (no air flow?) so i ride like i said before...if anyone want to meet there(the other place) i go just about every sunday...
