Well I drove an 1.5 hours last night one way and sold my 81 250r for $1200. I bought it for $400 over a year ago and have been slowly rebuilding. I will regret it soon. But just a rundown, Clark desert tank, new maier fenders front and rear, rebuilt engine(crank seals, bearings, pistonkit, connecting rod kit), mugen pipe, itp wheels on the back, k&n filter, 30mm carb, new case saver, new seat cover, cr250 exhaust flange, new clutch.
Used parts : seat latch, seat pan, headlight trim, motor mounts, another two blew up motors for parts, rickter silencer, shifter shaft, kicker shafter, gear shifter, kicker, 3 stators and other misc stuff.

I painted the tank and headlight plastic white and sold it with the new seat cover not installed and the bike with 0 hours on the engine. Has not been started. Needs stator, chain and a few misc bolts installed. To be a good deal I delivered it aswell, went thru $120 in fuel but towed back a van that would pay for the trip anyways. With the rare factor of 250r's around here and all the work and parts put into the R I am sure I lost money on it and he got a good deal but thats the way it goes.

Now someone wants to buy my 200x aswell. See what happens I guess. Almost bought an auto x on the way home from the trip too. Still thinking about that one.

Wow Brockey. I am trading my 1983 atc 250r for a 1981 r. My r needs alot of little things to run. I like the white plastic.

Selling to buy something else or just selling?

Well I lost out on a 85 R once again. So now I believe I am just gonna buy another car and hang onto the 200x for awhile. Might take Father's 84 250r aswell.
